INTERMETRO 2023

Transtelesoft LLC, part of the TMH-IS group of companies, took part in the V International INTERMETRO Exhibition-Conference, held in Moscow at the Transport Academy of the Russian Federation from December 14 to 16, 2023, organized by the RUT MIIT team.

Yuri Smagin, Business Development Director of TMH-IS, spoke about TMH's key products in the field of urban rail transport traffic management as part of the round table "Ensuring Metro Transportation: Issues of Traction Power Supply, Rolling Stock, Traffic Management, and Signaling." He emphasized that the company's offering is unique in that it covers the full production and service cycle: from rolling stock design and engineering to comprehensive maintenance and the implementation of digital traffic control systems. "If we look at the current state of the art, we want our train to carry additional functions and perform diagnostics of the metro infrastructure using cameras, lidars, and radars. This is precisely the kind of R&D we are currently carrying out together with colleagues from the Moscow Metro." In his remarks, Yuri Smagin also noted that the company offers cities modern systems for automating and dispatching tram operations. An automated system for controlling tram switch drives is currently undergoing trial operation in Moscow, and a project for the comprehensive automation of tram operations at the Verkhnyaya Pyshma depot is nearing completion.

Dmitry Volkovsky, Head of the Development Department at Transtelesoft LLC, presented modular solutions for a unified digital platform for rolling stock, based on the design principles of the new "BORT" traffic safety system, and spoke about the company's products already being effectively used in metro and electric trains: video surveillance systems, passenger information systems, on-train communications, USB chargers for mobile devices, and others.

The topic of import substitution attracted particular interest in the discussion — for example, video surveillance systems for the Lastochka electric train, which was also noted in the presentation by VSM SERVICE, on the supply of a domestic monitor for metro cab consoles on new trains, as well as the possibility of applying the ASUAP suburban electric train passenger-counting technology on metro trains, in order to optimize station dwell times and other solutions for managing metro train traffic based on actual passenger flow.
