TMH becomes a partner of a unique federal education project

Transmashholding, Russia's largest developer and manufacturer of rolling stock for railway and urban rail transport, has become an industrial partner of a unique federal education project — the ISKRA Advanced Engineering School.

The school's opening took place at the Petersburg State Transport University (PGUPS). Notably, the opening day coincided with the founding anniversary of PGUPS (founded under Roszheldor), which is celebrating its 215th anniversary this year.

The ISKRA Advanced Engineering School (AES) is a new educational space intended to become a hub for training highly qualified engineering personnel specializing in intelligent safety systems for rail transport.

As part of the project, TMH will actively develop the area related to creating and improving traffic control systems for rail transport. This is an important step towards improving the safety and efficiency of rail transport in our country.

For hands-on student training, TMH has opened a modern laboratory where young specialists can get acquainted with advanced technologies and equipment that ensure the safety of rail traffic: obstacle detection systems, remote video surveillance, virtual coupling, and the BORT locomotive traffic safety system.

TMH Intelligent Systems will be the partner for the new laboratory in the area of traffic automation, while the TMH Corporate University will partner in developing new training programmes for engineers.

The ISKRA AES will not only train future engineers capable of introducing innovations and ensuring safety in rail transport, but will also become a venue for upskilling leading IT specialists, technical directors and safety systems engineers from Russia's largest machine-building enterprises.
